Is Valorant A Stealth Game?

At first glance, Valorant may not seem like a stealth game, but stealth in Valorant can play a vital role.

Valorant is a free to play skill heavy first-person shooter. The game relies heavily on movement, gun skill and accuracy. Stealth can be used to gain an upper hand in this game.

Stealth Gameplay

The stealth aspect in Valorant is very similar to the stealth in Elden Ring. The characters make a lot of noise just by moving around the map. This is due to Valorant being a sound heavy game. Footsteps are heard to alert the player when an enemy is approaching. All the characters run by default. The player moving can hold down the SHIFT key to walk. When walking the footsteps are muted and the player will move slower.

Character Stealth

I would say that new players ignore stealth in Valorant. The characters in Valorant have different abilities. Players can utilize these abilities to attack, hide or power up. Valorant maps are set up with many boxes and crates around the map, where players can hide from enemies.

Stealth Attack

There is only a couple of ways to stealth attack in Valorant.

The first way would be to hide behind something on the map and wait for the enemy to approach. If the hiding spot is good then the entire enemy team may walk by the hidden player. Once this happens, then the player can get some easy kills.

The second way I would recommend would be flanking. Flanking is when the team attacks the enemy from behind. To do this in Valorant, the player will go the opposite way of the action and wrap around the entire map. By doing this, the player should come up on the enemy with their backs tuned, making for a stealthy surprise.
